We managed to arrange for a late check-out at 3pm, so there was no panic vacating the villa by 12pm. That was great as we were able to have practically a whole day by the pool before we left for Delhi. Carrie and Sam spent some time in the morning in the "animation" room where they did some painting - Minine Mouse for Carrie and a canvas painting of a beach by Sam (& his helper!). Transfer to the airport was pretty stress-free and so was check in etc. Flight was a little over 2 hours, a little bumpy, so my hand started to ache with Mel's firm grip afer a while...
In Delhi we were met by our Tour Guide "Ved" - a nice bloke, who Sam bonded with immediately. We checked into the Hans Hotel 45 mins later, having spent the journey praying the bags would not fall off the roof. We were in a double room with a pull out bed, Carrie sleeping on the sofa. Dinner in the hotel was a hit with the very tired & hungry kids - plain pasta & cheese for Sam, smoked salmon sandwich for Carrie. Mel risked everything by having her first salad of the trip - steady on!
